Welcome! We're your hosts, Jim and Cindy Reed

July 13, 2009:
What a busy year it's turning out to be. We just returned from a week at William Holland School for Lapidary Arts (see web links). I taught beginning lampwork to a class of 5 amazing students. They are very creative ladies and I envy them their talent. Jim took a Cold Connections class with Kim St. Jean. He had so much fun and it really lit a fire under him. He's spending more time with metal than rocks! Kim is a wonderfully talented lady and a fantastic teacher. If you have a chance to take one of her classes, jump on it. The William Holland experience as a whole is something else. Where else can you get a room, 3 meals a day and a class for $310 per person? We'll be heading back September 26 for 2 more weeks. This time I get to take classes. We'll report back at the end of that session.

We'll be spending the first 2 weeks of August in Europe. The first week will be in Lauscha, Germany. It's a small village full of glass. First, there's the glass factory where they make those famous Lauscha rods. Can you say heaven?
